When we drove into Dubrovnik, we were simply amazed.
Amazed by how blue the Croatian coast is; amazed by how the sun blazes gold on the shores; amazed by how incredibly massive–yet delicate–those crystal blue waters looked.
What a Nice Vacation Spot You Have
Now, I know we’re generalizing a little here, but Dubrovnik is like the Hawaii of Europe: it’s warm, the water is nice, the beaches are crowded, and people from ALL. OVER. THE. WORLD stop by this city to soak up the sun. It’s a warm summer getaway. It’s also a little romantic. Picture this: a red-roofed city that still keeps it’s old Roman walled-city in tact. Just down the way is the warm blue waters of the Adriatic Sea.
beautiful!!
What a Sunset You Have
August must be prime time for Dubrovnik. We stayed at Hotel Importanne and it felt like everyone was staying there. It was still very romantic, since our room came with this view:
what a lovely sunset!
What a Beautiful Walled City You Have
Dubrovnik has the Walled City. We walked around the entire length of the roof of the Walled City. The key to making sure you have a pleasant walk around the Walled City rooftop is to start at the third entrance by a restaurant called Ploce Gate. You will have a mostly downhill walk, with a couple of inclines.
What a View You Have
We took a cable car to get a panoramic view of Dubrovnik and the sea. The cable car is located at Frana Suplia 35a, Dubrovnik. The best advice we can give you for buying tickets is to buy them at the cable car. Other places sell tickets near the cable car, but they cost more or include other things you won’t use.
The cable car takes you up a hill with an amazing view. It’s beautiful and sunny. We would say it’s worth it to get the panoramic view of Dubrovnik.

Now It’s Your Turn!
Dubrovnik is beautiful. We stayed at the Hotel Importanne towards the end of August and the weather was perfect.
