This Wednesday’s Wonder: Tulips Everywhere.
When we went to Netherlands, we missed the tulip season by thismuch. We took a steam train along the countryside and all of the tulips were cut clean off to collect the seeds for next season. Don’t get me wrong, it was a beautiful green scene as we chugged along, but it wasn’t colorful. It was like the time we missed the cherry blossoms by just thatmuch in Washington D.C.
It seems we either had impeccable timing. Or, that we had been cursed with the Blitz (you know, the curse where you leave some place early or get distracted and miss something totally awesome).
But, I think the curse has been lifted since we caught all the colorful tulips in Istanbul.
And they are everywhere! These ruby red tulips were just outside a restaurant.
So pretty!!!!
