This Wednesday’s Wonder: It took ten hours, three times recharging the battery and one sore thumb, but our photo is in a popular US travel magazine. That is what is up.
After watching one of the Bruce Lee favorites, Enter the Dragon (because Bruce Lee is epic), I wondered is it possible to enter a dragon?
Yes. Yes it is. You can literally enter a dragon–and exit a tiger– at 蓮池潭 (Lotus Lake) in Kiaohsiung, Taiwan. Lotus Lake is a man-made lake in the south of Taiwan lined a lot of religious sites. The lake is peaceful and pretty.
This is our photo of 五里亭 (Wuliting) featured in the latest issue of Travel + Leisure. Thanks, T+L!

This is our original photo. At the end of the walkway is a red pagoda overlooking the water. To get to Lotus Lake from Taipei, take the Taiwan High Speed Rail to Zuoying Station.
