This Wednesday’s Wonder: Love Valley in Cappadocia, Turkey is very appropriately named.
“You should hug the rock. I’ll take a photo of you.”
“Ok!” And I ran up to the rock for a little photo op.
The Cappadocia region in Turkey is well known for its historic church caves and underground cities. One of the more popular things to do seems to be the hot air balloons. Many of these colorful balloons go up in the air shortly before sunrise and sunset.
But, not for us, though. I’m terrified of heights. You couldn’t pay me a million dollars to get into a floating basket….well, maybe a million. But, I would piss myself half way up. I’ve documented my fear of heights during our travels before. Heights-based adventures rarely ever work out for me.
So we navigated Cappadocia with our feet firmly planted on the ground. One of those places we hiked through was Love Valley and this is where I shyster’ed into hugging a rock conspicuously shaped like a penis.
I looked up as Frank took the photo and instantly became aware this was one of those “funny” photos.
“Dude, this looks like a weener.”
“Hahahaha and you hugged it!”
This is marriage, folks….yay…
Love Valley. Winkety-wink wink
