This Wednesday’s Wonder: A sunset in Tamsui, Taiwan

Tamsui: the city of love. A city of fishermen. A city to the north of Taipei with a pretty shoreline and even better food. A city with one of the most gorgeous sunsets we’ve ever set our eyes on.

Tamsui, I’m in love.

Now, THAT’S a fabulous sunset.

We have had rotten luck on our trip with respect to sunsets, but I have to say Taiwan was also pretty great for us in that regard: we got to watch the sun set over the cloud sea in Alishan National Scenic Area and it was phenomenal… magical, even! The colors dancing on those fat puffy clouds was like nothing I have ever seen before! Taiwan for the sunset win! 😀

  i was able to catch the sunset and sunrise at the Alishan National Scenic area too!!! SO breathtaking! Although, the sunrise at Sun Moon Lake isn’t too shabby either!

Fish and love?! I’m in!
The sunsets within the Okanagan valley are pretty spectacular here in BC.
The best one I have seen was on the water in July while sailing by the statue of liberty – not only was it because of lady liberty but the colours were so surreal.

  Tamsui has a lovers’ bridge. It lights up in different colors at night. It’s very pretty. I’ve seen photos of some magical sunsets around the Statue of Liberty. Makes me think she was placed there on purpose for that reason. =)
